“Made Me Do It: A Poetry Collection” reimagines book covers for Trista Mateer’s “Myth and Magick.” This feminist poetry series delves into Greek goddesses Aphrodite, Artemis, and Persephone, intertwining myth and art to bridge the timeless narrative between past and present.
Original Covers
The original cover design fed into a Pinterest aesthetic, which I felt didn't encompass the various themes and tone of the poetry collection. I wanted to create a visual identity that balanced the serious tone of the book contents with the mythos of the goddess they're based on. Also, I wanted the visual identity to target an older audience and allow for future continuation of the series.
